OPTION #1 Hotel or Inn
There are hotels and Inn within 1 km diameter from the clinic. You can check availability through online services such as “agoda.com” or “tripadvisor.com“.
We recommend the “Shilla Stay Cheonan” or “Hotel Aria”. Both are about 15-20 minutes away from the clinic by foot and very clean.
Price range is from 50,000KRW to 200,000KRW per night.
Search word for name of city: cheonan or cheonan-si.

– Taxi Fee (from clinic): about 3,000 KRW
– Distance: 1.58km, takes about 5 min
Costco (코스트코)
– Description: Huge market with variety of products such as grocery, foods, bakery, furniture, cosmetics, kitchen wear, electronics
– Store Hour: 10:00 ~ 22:00 (store is closed every 2nd and 4th Sundays)
– Taxi Fee (from clinic): about 6,000 KRW
– Distance: 6km, takes about 11~15 min

Shinsegae Department Store (신세계백화점)
– Description: Department store located downtown of Cheon-an city. Yawoori Theater, food courts, E Mart (huge market), book store, and restaurants are located in this department store.

Where to go & what to do during the spare time?
As you know, our clinic is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Here are some options where to go & what to do during your spare time.
1. Arario Gallery (아라리오 갤러리)
A nationwide famous gallery with great exhibitions
– Location: # 43, Mannam-ro, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si
It’s in downtown of Cheonan, right next to Shinsegae Department Store.
– Hours: Monday-Sunday, 11am – 7pm
Closed on SHINSEGAE CHUNGCHEONG DEPARTMENT STORE’s closing day
(once a month. The closing day is different each month), for exhibition
preperation period, New Year’s Day and Chuseok.
– Admission Fees: Adult – 3,000 KRW l Youth – 2,000 KRW l Preschool child – Free

2. Movie Theaters
<Yawoori Cinema> (야우리)
Movie Theater with huge food court and shopping mall.
– Location: 4B floor of Shinsegae Department Store in downtown
Tell taxi driver to go to “Shinsegae Bae-ka-jeom” (taxi fee: 5,000–6,000 KRW)
– Hours: Opens 365 days of the year;
Open hours may differ depending on time table of movies (usually, 9 a.m. – 1 a.m.)

3. Lake Cheon-ho-ji (천호지, 단대호수)
Huge lake with café and park. Good place to take a walk! It’s very good place for the walking exercise 😉
– Location: Cheonhoji-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si
Tell taxi driver to go to “Cheon-ho-ji Ho-soo” (taxi fee: 7,000-8,000 KRW)
– Hours: Open 24/7
– Recommend “Café Gourmet” (It has a great view on the 2nd floor terrace)
– How to go back to your studio apartment:
Please take a taxi. It’ll cost about 6,000-7,000 KRW and take half an hour.
If you have trouble to grab a cab, take a picture of where you are. (Take picture of the
nearest store’s sign) And send it to me. Then I’ll call a taxi for you.
4. Temple Gak-won-sa (각원사)
It’s such a beautiful temple!
Get some relaxed vibes from the temple 😉
– Location: 245, Gagwonsa-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si
Tell taxi driver to go to “Gak Won Sa” (taxi fee: 8,500 – 10,000 KRW)
– Hours: Open 24/7 but I would recommend to go during the daytime.
